Under the funding received from the National Recovery Plan (NRP), the team from the \u0141ukasiewicz Institute of Electrical Engineering has planned investments in the laboratories at the Research Centre for Electromobility and Intelligent Transportation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The Centre develops electro mobility and broader transportation-related technologies in the areas of electric powertrains, control systems, power electronic converters, system integration and electric vehicle charging systems.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The team is also involved in railroad, tramway and subway system technologies. A broad area of interest includes the development of high-performance drive systems and the implementation of comprehensive solutions as whole-vehicle systems. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Activities under the grant are aimed at accelerating the implementation of innovative technologies related to electromobility, as well as transportation in Poland and around the world.<\/div>\n
The work underway leads to increased safety and competitiveness of low-emission technologies. Moreover, the research into high-efficiency modern powertrains for electric vehicles will increase their energy efficiency and performance while reducing production and operating costs. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The NRP funding will result in an extension of the Centre’s portfolio and the Electromobility and Intelligent Transportation Laboratory (LET) operating within it.<\/div>\n

The planned infrastructure will be used for:<\/div>\n
\u2013 designing new types of motors, as well as optimising gearboxes, cooling systems and energy storage;<\/div>\n
\u2013 developing comprehensive solutions integrating various components of an electric vehicle, such as traction batteries, energy management systems, powertrain systems and user interfaces;<\/div>\n
\u2013 work on specialist software for electric vehicles.<\/div>\n
The software will handle intelligent energy management, propulsion operation control and diagnostic functions.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Centre will be equipped with advanced test platforms to simulate and test complex vehicle operating scenarios, ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards:<\/div>\n
\u2013 the implementation and testing of telemetry systems and V2X (Vehicle To Everything) solutions that will enable real-time monitoring of the technical condition and performance of vehicles;<\/div>\n
\u2013 research into inductive charging that enables wireless transfer of energy to the vehicle, eliminating the need for cables.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
