The project \u201cBidirectional Inductive Power Transfer\u201d<\/strong>) (BiPT) is funded under the 2026 subsidy provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.<\/span><\/p>

Project value: 3,000,000.00 PLN<\/strong>
Funding amount: 1,060,000.00 PLN<\/strong><\/p>

The goal of the project is<\/span> to further develop the BiPT inductive power transfer system developed at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Electrical Engineering and prepare it for deployment. The system is intended for wireless charging of electric vehicles. <\/span>This solution will enable charging at up to 30 kW<\/span> and bidirectional energy transfer, while maintaining high energy efficiency and safe operation, thanks in part to an additional stage of galvanic isolation. <\/span><\/p>

As part of the project, research and development work will be conducted covering the development, optimisation and validation of a bidirectional wireless charging system. The scope of activities will include the design and modeling of coils and power converters, the development of control and communication algorithms, an analysis of energy efficiency, and laboratory testing under conditions representative of real-world operation. <\/span><\/p>

The project will result in a complete BiPT wireless charging system with a rated power of up to 30 kW, featuring an efficiency of over 90% and a high level of safety. The technology could be used<\/span> in the electromobility sector, particularly by entities<\/span>\u00a0involved in the production or conversion of electric vehicles, as well as in any situation where the use of wired charging and contact-based connectors<\/span>\u00a0is cumbersome or dangerous. <\/span><\/p>

The expected outcomes of the project include: <\/strong>
\u2022 a bidirectional wireless charging system for electric vehicles with a power rating of up to 30 kW,<\/span>
\u2022 designs and models of coils and power converters,<\/span>
\u2022 control and communication algorithms for the BiPT system,<\/span>
\u2022 laboratory validation of the system under conditions close to real-world operation,<\/span>
\u2022 technology ready for further deployment in the e-mobility sector and the vehicle conversion sector.<\/span><\/p>
