The electrolyser is powered by electricity, which can come from renewable sources, and water with suitable physico-chemical parameters.  The hydrogen is then compressed and stored in a pressure vessel. From the tank, this gas is delivered to a fuel cell, where the chemical energy of the gas is converted into electricity. The by-product is water again. The aim of the project is to develop a system for preparing water of suitable quality to feed the electrolyser. The primary source (system input) will be the water recovered in the hydrogen fuel cell, but it can also be tap water or wastewater of various compositions, particularly in the case of hydrogen storage systems without electricity generation. For the verification of the water preparation system, the project plans to build a laboratory-scale hydrogen plant.
