During the Energy Transformation Leaders Gala, held as part of the Polish Climate Congress on March 25 this year. in Warsaw, \u0141ukasiewicz – IEL was honored with a statuette in the Energy Transformation Leaders<\/em> competition.<\/p>

The competition, organized by the European Foundation for Sustainable Investment (EFIZ), recognizes projects that provide real support for energy transition and the development of a low-carbon economy. The competition jury appreciated the DTH – Distributed Hybrid Transformer project developed at the Institute.<\/p>

Deputy Director Pawel Mosak received the award on behalf of the Institute.<\/p>

The DTH is a 630 kVA prototype transformer for MV\/NV substation operation that enables:<\/p>

  • Real-time voltage stabilization,<\/li>
  • Voltage regulation within \u00b110% Un,<\/li>
  • Reactive power and voltage asymmetry compensation,<\/li>
  • Supporting grid operation with a large share of renewable sources.<\/li><\/ul>

    As Dr. Ing. emphasizes Wojciech Matelski, Director of the Research Center for Energy Conversion and Storage: “DTH is an active component of modern Smart Grid systems and a solution to the challenges of today’s energy transition, improving the quality of grid voltage and supporting the integration of RES sources.”<\/em><\/p>
