The \u0141ukasiewicz Institute of Electrical Engineering was a Gold Partner of the 6th Conference \u201cHYDROGEN4RAIL \u2013 FUTURE OF TRANSPORT,\u201d organized by the Polish Chamber of Railways, which took place on June 16\u201317, 2026, in Pozna\u0144. <\/p>\n

The conference focused on one of the key areas of development in modern transportation\u2014the use of hydrogen as a clean fuel in the rail sector. This is an area of particular importance to the Institute, which is developing expertise in hydrogen technologies, energy storage, smart infrastructure power systems, and solutions supporting low-emission transportation. These activities are carried out, among other things, as part of the European Rail4EARTH2 project (Europe\u2019s Rail Joint Undertaking). <\/p>\n

The Institute was represented by:<\/p>\n

    Representatives of the Institute actively participated in the event\u2019s program, delivering the following presentations:<\/p>\n

    • \u201cR&D Projects in the Field of Hydrogen Technologies and Transportation Carried Out at the \u0141ukasiewicz Institute of Electrical Engineering to Support the Development of the Railway Sector\u201d \u2013 Mateusz \u0141uba, Ph.D., Eng. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Another key element of the conference was the expert panel on \u201cHydrogen Propulsion\u201d (June 17, 2026), in which Dr. Marcin Parchomiuk, Eng., participated. The discussion focused on the directions of development for low-emission rail transport, the role of hydrogen, and technologies supporting infrastructure transformation\u2014ranging from the design of hydrogen propulsion systems and hydrogen storage facilities to the development of hydrogen infrastructure. <\/p>\n
