Note that the Institute of Electrical Engineering is a beneficiary of the project co-financed by the INTERREG V-A POLAND – DENMARK – GERMANY – LITHUANIA – SWEDEN (SOUTH BALTIC) PROGRAMME 2014-2020 entitled: ELMAR – Supporting South Baltic SMEs to enter the international supply chains sales markets for boats ships with electric propulsions.

The objective of the project is to support the shipbuilding and boat building sector in the South Baltic area in adapting to electric mobility in shipping and creating related products, as well as promoting the market potential for electric boats and ships in the region. This will be achieved by:

  • market analysis and study tours showing the potential and examples of e-boats and e-vessels, both in the South Baltic area and beyond;
  • inducing innovative ship and boat designs adapted to electric motors, so that boat and ship builders will receive concrete inspiration for innovative e-ship and e-boat designs and to promote their products;
  • cross-border cluster building, networking and B2B matchmaking in the field of electric maritime mobility;
  • joint marketing and development of a “home market” for electric mobility in shipping in the South Baltic area.
