The InterNanoPoland 2023 International Conference took place in Katowice on 11-12 October, presenting the latest scientific and industrial developments in the field of nanotechnology and facilitating dialogue between the scientific and business worlds.
Łukasiewicz – Institute of Electrical Engineering was a partner of the event and hosted a panel discussion “Nanotechnology vs. Poland’s energy transition”. It was moderated by dr inż. Ivona Koltsov, Director of Hydrogen Technology Centre.

The panels featured: dr hab. Michał Borysiewicz (Łukasiewicz – Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics), Dr Piotr Kowalczewski R&D Manager, XTPL S.A., Dr Andrzej Morawski Head of Superconductor Materials Laboratory at IHPP Unipress PAS and dr inż Krzysztof Jakubczak CEO & co-founder nanoEMI.

Dr. inż. Ivona Koltsov was also a speaker on the “NanoBreakthrough: nanotechnology innovations in the water, carbon and hydrogen sectors (3W)” panel.

During the conference, Łukasiewicz – IEL also presented its extensive research and product capabilities at a stand of its own.

Information about the Institute was provided by the Head of the Research Group of Technology and Materials Production, dr inż. Krzysztof Kogut and Senior Specialist of the Sales Department in the Commercialisation Department, Krzysztof Oraczewski.

The conference enabled research and design collaboration and the exchange of experience in nanotechnology (e.g. in the context of solutions used in the water, carbon and hydrogen sectors), materials engineering, modern measurement methods or recycling in the broadest sense.

During the face-to-face meetings, Łukasiewicz – IEL presented its capabilities in materials testing, physico-chemical measurements, mechanical strength and electrical strength. Furthermore, services were presented in the areas of heating cable technology currently under development, electrical insulation, including composite insulators and modern thermal insulation products.
Solutions under development based on nanotechnology were also presented, including the production of silver colloids by wire explosion or the use of biomimetic methods in the creation of new materials, which met with considerable interest from the audience.
