Microelectronics (Green IT), Sustainable Building, Hydrogen, Fusion were the four key areas of the “Building Bridges for the Next Generations conference” which took place on 27-28 May in Dresden. During a panel on hydrogen technologies, dr inż. Mateusz Łuba , representative of Łukasiewicz – IEL gave a presentation entitled “Ongoing hydrogen projects in the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Electrical Engineering and future prospects”. In his presentation, he discussed current hydrogen projects underway at the institute and future prospects in the context of hydrogen technology development.
A panel discussion entitled ‘Connecting Science and Politics’ was also attended by a representative of the Institute, who discussed the challenges facing the world of science and possible ways of addressing them. These discussions were particularly relevant given the need for close collaboration between scientists and policy makers in order to successfully implement innovative technological and environmental solutions.
The Dresden conference was an important step in building international scientific and policy cooperation aimed at sustainable development and technological innovation. Initiatives such as these, led by the Free State of Saxony, show how science can serve as a mediator in creating a more sustainable future, crossing geographical, political and social boundaries.
