Area Leader – Head of Research Laboratory for Electrical Engineering Materials

WYNAGRODZENIE :
WYMAGANIA OBOWIĄZKOWE:

1) Master’s degree and 5 years’ professional experience; including 2 years’ experience in team management;
2) Experience of working in an accredited environment (e.g. ISO 17025 compliant) and in research institutions;
3) Practical knowledge of electrical, physico-chemical, mechanical and thermal testing technology for materials and equipment;
4) Ability to manage laboratory infrastructure, including measuring apparatus and research equipment;
5) Ability to prepare reports, statements and documentation related to research/testing;
6) Communicative proficiency in English;
7) Developed interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with clients and the team;
8) Knowledge of health and safety, environmental and regulatory standards for laboratory operations.

MILE WIDZIANE:

1) Higher technical education, preferred majors: materials engineering, electrical engineering or related. A doctoral degree in a technical field may be an additional advantage;
2) Knowledge of technical hazards relating to electrotechnical materials, equipment mechanics and recycling and composite technology;
3) Ability to plan and organise the work of the team effectively. Experience
in managing a laboratory or research team may be an advantage;
4) Knowledge of the planning aspects of laboratory budgets.

CODZIENNE ZADANIA:

Daily tasks:
1) Training and instructing the subordinate staff;
2) Supervision and control of the compliance of subordinate staff with the labour code and the Institute’s work regulations;
3) Preparation of information and reports on the activities of the subordinate unit in accordance
with the needs identified by the head of division;
4) Supervision of the implementation of services provided by the Laboratory in the following areas: testing of equipment and products, calibration of measuring instruments, assessment of the conformity of equipment and products with European Union directives, technical assessment of equipment
and drawing up technical expertise;
5) Participation in activities to broaden the Institute’s research offer. Active participation in the Laboratory’s work related to audits and cooperation with the PCA;
6) Supervision over the work discipline, the performance of subordinate employees and their compliance with legal regulations;
7) Adequate security and use of the Laboratory’s apparatus and equipment.
