Integrated Intelligent Transport Systems Research Group

We are a newly established research group in Kutno. At the moment, we are conducting far-reaching recruitment processes. We plan to recruit additional staff in the near future to fill the positions needed to meet our targets.

Our potential customers are companies and institutions that, due to the European Union’s policy to decarbonise mobility, want, or are even obliged, to replace part of their car fleet with a zero-emission one

Services:

  • conversion of internal combustion vehicles into electric or electric-hydrogen powered, using commercially available components
  • integration of EVs and FCEVs,
  • design and programming of electronic circuits,
  • diagnostics and configuration of power electronic and electronic components of EVs and FCEVs,
  • design and programming of electric vehicle charging systems,
  • commissioning and diagnostics of EVs and FCEVs,
  • implementation and validation of system solutions on EVs and FCEVs,
  • implementation of the EV and FCEV master controller algorithms,
  • designing the system architecture of electric vehicles,
  • reverse engineering for EVs and FCEVs,
  • design of vehicle body components conforming to type approval regulations,
  • design and programming of HMI systems for EVs and FCEVs.

The main economic areas on which the Research Group for Integrated Intelligent Transport Systems plans to focus its activities are automotive and transport areas.

Infrastructure area of electrified direct current rail transport – railways, metro trams

Electric Drive Power Systems Research Group

We offer a wide range of services in the field of design and manufacture of electrical machines, which are used in various branches of transport as well as in selected industrial areas.

Services:

  • design and prototyping of power electronic components for zero-emission vehicles
  • design and prototyping of wireless charging systems
  • design and prototyping of electric drive systems for EVs
  • design and prototyping of converters for RES
  • design and prototyping of generators for RES
  • integration of on-board power and propulsion components for EVs
  • design and prototyping of drive inverters for classic three-phase and multi-phase machines
  • design of mechanical structures

Our offer is addressed to companies working directly and indirectly in the area of electromobility. For example, companies that convert internal combustion vehicles to EVs or design them. The Electric Drive Power Systems Research Group offers them the selection or and development of power, drive and integration systems for electrical and electronic on-board equipment. The technology solutions we develop are also addressed to companies working in the broad area of renewable energy sources and particularly hydroelectric and wind power; for these customers, we offer generators for wind and hydroelectric turbines and dedicated inverters developed at Łukasiewicz – IEL.

The Electric Drive Power Systems Research Group works mainly in two areas:

  • industrial:
    • electrical energy conversion (drive systems and power systems),
    • e-transport (new solutions for electromobility on land, water and air)
    • energy and power generation (RES systems, integration of the vehicle into the electricity system V2x)
  • services:
    • services and implementation of RD projects
    • powertrain research services for electromobility and industrial applications

We also undertake tasks in the area of agriculture, such as the development of power supplies or dedicated drives for agricultural machinery and equipment.
