This year’s Innovation Night was held at the Łukasiewicz Research Centre for Electrotechnical Materials at the Institute of Electrical Engineering in Wrocław. The event brought together more than 100 participants for a unique, educational lab walk.
The slogan for the event – How many threads are there in a dress, and how much snow is there in a chest? How many pounds does the wind weigh – and can a storm power the Earth? – has become an invitation to explore the relationship between science, energy and materials.
During the Innovation Night, participants had the opportunity to:
– learn how science is supporting the development of renewable energy, electrical engineering and modern recycling technologies,
– take a look at the high-voltage and thermal-mechanical research laboratories,
– learn about wind turbine blade and fabric recycling processes,
– see specialized microscopes and research equipment in action.
The event programme was complemented by creative art workshops, where participants could try their hand at weaving, macramé, painting and decorating, among other things. It was an opportunity to show how science and technology intertwine with art and a creative approach to creation.
Innovation Night 2025 was a day full of inspiration, learning and conversations about the common areas of energy, materials and innovations. We would like to thank all participants for their attendance and partners for their cooperation in organising the event.
