Lukasiewicz – IEL was one of the institutions actively participating in the H2POLAND & EnergyON Summit in Poznan, held on March 25-26, 2026. The event brought together industry representatives, experts and research centers interested in the development of the hydrogen market and its importance in the energy transition.
During the conference, the Institute’s Director, Dr. Eng. Marcin Parchomiuk, took part in the expert debate “Perspective of the Polish market. From hydrogen-ready to hydrogen-on“, concerning the real conditions for the implementation of hydrogen technologies in industry. The discussion included. current regulations, such as the Industrial Accelerator Act and RED III, development barriers, and challenges to integrating hydrogen into the energy system.
As part of the joint booth of the Lukasiewicz Research Network – prepared in cooperation with other Lukasiewicz institutes and the Low Carbon Technologies and Clean Energy Industry Contact Point – Lukasiewicz – IEL presented key competencies related to hydrogen technologies and research infrastructure.
The team representing the Institute included specialists related to hydrogen technologies, energy storage, power apparatus, commercialization of solutions, and marketing and customer service. The presence of experts from different areas enabled a wide range of discussions with industry partners and cooperating institutions.
Conclusions from this year’s event clearly indicate that the hydrogen market in Poland is entering a phase in which scaling technologies and their practical implementation are playing an increasingly important role. It is also becoming crucial to create a stable infrastructure to integrate hydrogen solutions into the national energy system.
