Project Accounts Officer

WYNAGRODZENIE :
WYMAGANIA OBOWIĄZKOWE:

1) Higher education or secondary education or secondary vocational education and 2 years’ professional experience;
2) Very good knowledge of MS Excel;
3) Knowledge of systems used by intermediary/funding Institutions for project accounts (e.g. SL/CST; MEWA);
4) Knowledge of spoken and written English at a minimum level B1;
5) Ability to think analytically.

 

MILE WIDZIANE:

1) A degree in economics is welcome;
2) A minimum of two years’ professional experience in financial processing of projects co-financed from external sources;
3) Experience in accounting for international projects;
4) Experience of working in a unit of the science and higher education sector.

 

CODZIENNE ZADANIA:

1) Comprehensive handling of investment projects and, in the long term, also research projects (national and international), from the financial side, i.e. responsibility for the ongoing accounting for and monitoring of the material and financial progress of their implementation in accordance with funding agreements, eligible cost guides;
2) Collecting, describing, posting, circulation of financial documents related to the accounting for projects, constant cooperation with the Accounting and Finance Department, Chief Accountant and other organisational units;
3) Keeping records of project expenditure;
4) Responsibility for the timely accounting for collected advances, requesting the return of the unused part of the advance to the Accounting and Finance Department;
5) Liaising with funding bodies, including clarifying doubts on project accounts issues;
6) Verifying submitted invoices and acceptance reports with agreements and purchase orders in terms of completion dates, conformity and completeness of signatures, content of the invoice with the content of the agreement,
7) Liaising with the project manager in the preparation of change requests, annexes to the funding agreement etc;
8) Reconciling transfers between items and categories of expenditure;
9) Approving purchase requests and requests to initiate proceedings to secure funds in the project budget;
10) Participating in financial inspections and project audits;
11) Comprehensive preparing payment applications and project accounting requests in cooperation with the Institute’s employees in charge;
12) Cooperation with funding institutions, including clarifying any doubts regarding the provisions of competition documentation, financing programs, aid plans and schemes, cost eligibility guidelines, etc.
13) Operating project IT systems (e.g. CST);
14) Reporting identified risks to the project manager, initiating corrective and remedial actions.
