On 7 April 2025, the Director of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Electrical Engineering appointed the Electrotechnical Products Certification Governing Board for a new five-year term. The Governing Board is the mechanism for safeguarding the impartiality of the Product Certification Body, acting in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO/IEC 17065.
The Governing Board included representatives of parties with a significant interest in the certification process:
- Ms Renata Sulima – representing Łukasiewicz – Institute of Electrical Engineering,
- Mr Janusz Nowastowski – representing the Polish Economic Chamber of Electrotechnics,
- Mr Roman Kłopocki – representative of ETI Polam sp. z o.o.,
- Ms Sylwia Młot-Borowska – representing the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification S.A.
he first Board meeting of the new term was held on 12 May. During the course of the meeting, the members unanimously elected Panią Sylwię Młot-Borowską as Chairperson of the Board.
During the meeting, the Governing Board reviewed the activities of the Product Certification Body and positively assessed the impartiality of the certification processes carried out,
confirming their compliance with the applicable standards and principles of integrity.
The role of the Governing Board is an important part of the system of oversight of certification activities, promoting confidence in the results of the conformity assessment processes carried out by Łukasiewicz – Institute of Electrical Engineering.
