As of 24 November 2025, Mr Andrzej Barna, MSc, was appointed Deputy Director responsible for the Finance and Operations area at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Electrical Engineering. He will serve in this capacity for a period of 5 years.
Mr Andrzej Barna has many years of experience in financial management and operational processes, and his competence and track record provide solid support for the Institute’s further development. His appointment to this position reflects the trust and expectations of effective oversight of key areas of the organisation’s operations.

Biographical note: A graduate of the Faculty of Finance and Statistics at the Warsaw School of Economics, he is an experienced manager and capital market expert. He has many years of experience in investment risk assessment, management of merger and acquisition processes and financial restructuring. He managed projects of introducing companies to the stock exchange and selling shares to industry investors, advising the Boards of the largest Polish listed companies on capital investments. He has worked with renowned law firms, auditing companies, and international investment banks. He combines the skills of a financial expert with the ability to successfully manage strategic businesses. Independent expert, long-standing member of the management board for financial matters in commercial companies.
