February 25-27, 2026. A Polish-Dutch defense mission dedicated to building project partnerships within the European Defense Fund (EDF) was held in Warsaw. The event was attended by representatives of industry and research institutions from Poland and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, interested in cooperation on joint research and development projects in the field of defense technology.
The mission was organized by the Ministry of Defense, the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) and the Enterprise Europe Network, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Poland. The Lukasiewicz Research Network institutes also participated in the meetings.
The purpose of the event was to strengthen cooperation between the defense industry and research organizations of the two countries, as well as to identify potential partners for the formation of international project consortia within the EDF. More than 45 representatives of Dutch defense companies and institutions came to Warsaw to learn about the potential of Polish scientific and industrial entities during a three-day visit.
Lukasiewicz – IEL was represented by Artur Moradewicz, who presented the technologies being developed at the Institute and their potential application in various types of unmanned systems and vehicles.
During the visit, the delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands also visited, among others. Warsaw University of Technology, Polish Armaments Group, WB Electronics and Łukasiewicz – Aviation Institute.
The European Defense Fund is a European Union program that supports joint research and development projects in the field of defense technology and military equipment, carried out by international industrial and scientific consortia. The program has a budget of nearly €8 billion in the 2021-2027 financial perspective.
