Completed projects
The project “Polish generation of electric drive systems with applications for buses, vans and trucks and other commercial and industrial vehicles” (POLNAPEL)is supported by a specific grant from the President of the Łukasiewicz Centre.
Total project value: PLN 1,904,500
Co-financing: 1,542,644 PLN
The project involves the design and manufacture of a new range of complete electric drive systems from 100 kW to 500 kW. Such a system will consist of a dedicated power supply (inverter) and an electric motor. The drive design will be optimised for use in buses and vans. The drive systems proposed could also be used to trams and trolleybuses. A key innovation of the proposed solution will be the optimised lightweight design of the efficient electric drive. The project involves the research focusing on the design and development of construction documentation for the entire system and its components, the fabrication of prototypes, and detailed laboratory testing. The final stage of the project will be the development of pre-implementation design documents for the drive systems.
The project is being implemented by a Consortium composed of:
- Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Electrical Drives and Machines KOMEL – Leader
- Lukasiewicz Research Network – Krakow Institute of Technology
- Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Electrical Engineering
