CONSTRUCTION OF INTEGRATED SYSTEMS TO SUPPORT AND OPTIMISE WORK AND SAFETY OF MV SWITCHGEAR
The project involves the research work aimed at preparing ready-to-use solutions to support the operation and maintenance of MV (Medium Voltage) switchgear in the areas of safety, prevention and efficiency. The designed tools, once they are put into production, will be offered to customers either on their own (complete switchgear) or as individual components compatible with existing switchgear on the market.
Moreover, solutions will be introduced to increase the current capacity of the switchgear.
The scope of work responds to market needs related to the current condition of the energy infrastructure in Poland and worldwide and the drive to increase power supply reliability, efficiency and equipment performance, as well as problems with experienced and qualified staff operating the switchgear and the network. The devices being launched will be fully capable of operating in SMART GRID networks.
The work carried out by the consortium (Elektrometal Energetyka, Instytut Elektrotechniki, PW SiMR) will result in patent applications, as well as obtaining an industrial design. The research areas identified in the project were developed on the basis of the previous experience of the members and the consortium leader, whose recent implemented research results have been awarded, among other things, the Gold Medal at ENERGETAB 2015 (e.g. the e²TANGO family of universal field controllers).
The work will result in an integrated control and distribution security system (IMS).
THE PROJECT IS CO-FINANCED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION FROM THE EUROPEAN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND under Priority Axis I “Utilisation of research and development activities in the economy” of the REGIONAL OPERATIONAL PROGRAMME OF THE MAZOWIECKIE VOIVODSHIP 2014-2020.
