Participation of Lukasiewicz – Institute of Electrical Engineering in JRC foreign mission in the Netherlands

Energy transformation is increasingly based on international cooperation, knowledge sharing and joint development of modern technologies. In this regard, representatives of Lukasiewicz – Institute of Electrical Engineering on March 9-10, 2026. participated in a foreign mission of the Lukasiewicz Research Network to the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission in Petten, the Netherlands.

The event was organized by the Lukasiewicz Center and provided an opportunity to meet with JRC scientists and learn about the research infrastructure of one of the European Commission’s key centers, specializing in, among other things. In energy technologies.

During the talks and presentations, key areas of the Institute’s activities relevant to the directions of energy development were presented:

  • hydrogen technologies,
  • Smart grids (smart grid),
  • technologies for the nuclear power industry.

Łukasiewicz – IEL was represented by:

  • Dr.-Ing. Marcin Parchomiuk – Director of the Institute,
  • Dr. Mateusz Łuba – Director of the Research Center for Hydrogen Technologies.

Participation in the mission is an important part of building relationships with European research centers and developing cooperation on technologies crucial to Europe’s energy future. Joint activities with the JRC enable both the exchange of experience and the development of solutions to support security and the energy transition.
