Completed projects
The Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Electrical Engineering has launched a new project entitled Increasing the energy efficiency of the buildings belonging to the Institute of Electrical Engineering in Warsaw.
The project is co-financed by the Cohesion Fund under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014 – 2020, Priority axis I Reducing the emission intensity of the economy, Measure 1.3 Supporting energy efficiency in buildings Sub-measure 1.3.1 Supporting energy efficiency in public buildings.
The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management is the Implementing Authority.
The project involves the comprehensive deep thermal upgrade of 3 buildings belonging to the Institute of Electrical Engineering in Warsaw – no. 7, 7a and 20 – and aims to address the low energy efficiency of these buildings. It consists of the following specific objectives:
- Thermal comfort in buildings,
- Highest possible environmental neutrality of buildings,
- Environmental improvement, including a decrease in pollution emissions,
- Compliance of the infrastructure with the applicable formal and legal environmental requirements.
Needs/identified gaps which the Project objectives address:
- reducing atmospheric emissions of harmful gases, including CO2,
- improving the comfort of the buildings for employees,
- ensuring that the infrastructure fully complies with current formal and legal environmental requirements.
Project outcome indicators:
- estimated annual decrease in greenhouse gas emissions – 239.52 Mg CO2 equivalent
- reduction in annual primary energy consumption in public buildings – 3473.44GJ/year
- reduction in final energy consumption – 3348.65 GJ/year
- amount of electricity saved – 83 MWh/year
- amount of heat energy saved – 3,049GJ/year
Output indicators:
- number of energy-efficient buildings – 3
- usable floor area of thermally upgraded buildings – 7 985.82 m2
- additional renewable energy generation capacity – 0.0399MW
The project is scheduled to run from 2019 to 2021
