On February 17, Łukasiewicz – IEL hosted this year’s inaugural meeting of research directors from all 22 institutes of the Łukasiewicz Research Network. The event was combined with a meeting of commercialisation members of the Łukasiewicz Competence Platform, which created an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the most important challenges in the field of innovation.
The meeting was attended by, among others, the Vice President of the Research Network, prof. Ph. Jolanta ITRICH-DRABAREK, and prof. PhD Sc. Eng. Rafał Łukasik, director of the Network’s Research, Innovation, and Commercialisation Department. During the discussion, special attention was paid to the importance of commercialisation of research results and current and planned research projects at the Network institutes.
Visitors had the opportunity to tour our laboratories and research stations. The demonstration in the high-voltage laboratory was of greatest interest, as well as the presentation of the hybrid distribution transformer, the high-power mobile power system and the calibration laboratories.
Łukasiewicz – Institute of Electrical Engineering was represented by the Director, PhD Sc. Eng. Marcin Parchomiuk and the Deputy Commercialisation Director, Paweł Mosak.
The meeting showed that the strength of the Łukasiewicz Research Network lies in the cooperation and exchange of knowledge between institutes, which provides the foundation for innovative projects and their implementation in business.
