The cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF, which began last year, is an important step towards strengthening international relations in the field of sustainable energy. The initial contacts and cooperation established during the visit of a delegation from the Saxony-Anhalt government and representatives of the Marshall Office were a starting point for further cooperation and exchange of experience.
The visit to Magdeburg on 26-27 March was a continuation of these activities and allowed the further development of joint projects and initiatives. The key issues of sustainable resources and energy transition were at the heart of the discussions.
The aim of the cooperation is to develop a joint concept for the implementation of projects that will contribute to a safe energy transition, with less use of conventional energy sources in favour of greener and more renewable ones.
The initiative seeks to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources such as coal, oil and natural gas in favour of greener, renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and hydropower. Joint activities also include upgrading the energy infrastructure, investing in renewable technologies, improving energy efficiency, promoting electrification of transport and reducing energy consumption.
Our representatives, including the Director, dr inż. Sebastian semicon, Research Director, dr inż. Marcin Parchomiuk and the Director of the Intelligent Transport Research Centre, Grzegorz Stawicki, collaborate with leading experts in the field of energy, such as prof. dr P. Komarnicki, prof. dr T. Birth, prof. dr J. Wiese and dr F. Sondej to achieve a balance between energy demand and availability.
The collaboration with Fraunhofer IFF and other activities under this initiative aim to contribute to global efforts to combat climate change and create a more sustainable and greener energy system.
