In the first week of March, Łukasiewicz-IEL Research Director dr inż Marcin Parchomiuk visited the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (EMPA) in Switzerland. As part of the Łukasiewicz Mission, he began a series of meetings with the ETH’s scientific research units on 4-8 March 2024.
He presented our operations and project activities in the areas of energy, hydrogen, battery technology, semiconductor technology and recycling, among others.
During the visit, dr inż. Marcin Parchomiuk had the opportunity to visit selected EMPA laboratories, the Paul Scherrer Institute – the largest research institute for life sciences and engineering in Switzerland, the renowned ETH Zurich, considered the best polytechnic in Europe according to the QS World University Rankings, and the Federal Polytechnic of Lausanne, known as EPFL – one of the two federal polytechnics in Switzerland.
During the meetings, potential joint ventures were discussed for the 2nd Polish-Swiss Cooperation Programme and European funding sources.
The joint ventures are an excellent opportunity to build lasting partnerships and can contribute to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable energy development, benefiting both parties.
